Frequently Asked Questions
Where should I stay?
We do not provide a hotel room block rate but we recommend some great spots including AirBnb.com and Emblem Hotel on Sutter Street.
What about meals?
Saturday lunch will be out - - please bring ~$20-30 cash (ideally) for your restaurant that is within walking distance.
Sat eve will be a no-host cash bar/drinks with included light appetizers.
For the day, please bring snacks and a water bottle.
What happens if I have to cancel and can’t come?
If something comes up and you absolutely cannot attend… you can transfer your registration to a future Powerful Pause Retreat or get a credit towards another training program with Rachael O'Meara (with no expiration date).
Q: Where will we be exactly?
A: Exact address: 1001 Pine Street, San Francisco CA (map) and doors open 30 minutes before for coffee and tea at 9:30am Saturday. Cross Street: Taylor and Jones Street. We are in Rachael's apartment building which has a great space for community events in the main library!
Q: Can I attend remotely?
A: At this time the retreat is only LIVE and in person to get the most out of this event.
Q: I'm from out of town, where can I stay?
Q. What about parking or public transport?
A: If driving, there is 2h free street parking (enforced) or these nearby garages:
1234 Pine Street (entrance on Pine between Leavenworth and Hyde) - $5/hour + $2 per add'l hour, $30 flat
Stockton St Garage: $5/hour 9-6pm or $38 flat rate
Q: What are the hours of the retreat?
A: Saturday 10am-4:30pm followed by a no-host happy hour 5-6pm in Nob Hill (1 block away)
Q: Do I need to attend the entire day?
A: Yes, attending full day Saturday is highly recommended and preferred. This is about honoring who you are becoming, and committing to being fully available for yourself to join our practices for this day. Think of this as an investment in YOU - a huge act of self-love and self-care to show up for the full day. You're going to feel full of vitality and life but attending all day and the evening social event is part of that. There are limited seats and being here matters as we are building on what we learn and creating deep connection starting Saturday morning. If you can't make the entire day, consider signing up for an Amplify Your Impact 30 minute breakthrough session with me instead.
Q: Will meals be included at the retreat?
A: No, but there will be scheduled 1 hour lunch break and an afternoon break. Please eat something before you arrive Saturday at 10am. For Saturday lunch we will be going out in small groups of 3 or 4 nearby. Please bring $25 CASH (approx $25 per meal) or be prepared to Venmo accordingly so you can pay for your meal easily when in a group - avoid the credit card hassle! We will be finished by dinnertime Saturday and you are encouraged to go out in small groups for dinner if you don't have plans.
Q: Will there be breaks and/or snacks?
A: Yes. After all, we are pausing so breaks matter. We will have breaks for lunch and 1 or 2 others per day. Please bring any snacks to get you through until meal times and a water bottle. We will have water but having a container that doesn't spill (waterbottle) works great. We will have coffee and tea in the AMs and during breaks available.
Q: Can I bring a friend?
A: Yes-- in fact, we highly recommend it! Why not support someone else who could benefit from a day dedicated to learning and growing in service to you rising to your next level of leadership that will be fun, inclusive, and restorative.
Q: What if I'm a current client can I attend?
A: Yes, and you can also volunteer to help lead. Reach out to Rachael if you are interested.
Q: What should I wear?
A: We recommend you dress business casual and comfortably. And, bring layers!! It may get warm with many people and we can’t always modulate the temperature as well as we’d like to…depending on the weather we may also be outside a couple times, so bring a rain jacket/umbrella just in case it's rainy and/or cold.
